About Me
I’m Tamsin, a translator with a love for language, storytelling, and connecting cultures. My journey with language began at age 15 when I fell in love with France and its vibrant culture. That passion led me to study in France, where I eventually settled permanently in 2003.
After dedicating many years to my passion for food as a chef, I rediscovered my first love - languages - and began working as a translator. Eager to deepen my skills and pursue this calling further, I formalized my expertise by completing a Master’s in Translation Studies, specializing in literary non-fiction.
I’m particularly drawn to literary non-fiction for its power to blend deeply personal narratives with universal themes, and I’m excited to help authors share their unique voices with new audiences.
When I’m not translating, you’ll often find me exploring in the mountains in my hometown of Chamonix, in the Alps, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with my family. I’m thrilled to be on this journey and look forward to collaborating on projects that bring stories to life across borders.
